We have always loved the modern kitchen.  It’s becoming more and more popular due to the many options that are available – and, of course, due to featuring largely on home programmes on TV.  Modern kitchens are so easy to maintain.  Often the design includes eye-level ovens and we’re great fans of the easy access that these afford customers.

Handleless Matt Kitchen in Kilkenny:

Our clients came to us with a wonderful room.  The brief was to provide a modern kitchen but with woodgrain features and a large island with room for at least four seats.

The design includes a pantry press for food storage, a further tall press for additional space and a hidden extractor.  The vast island includes a sink with a drawer unit beneath providing storage, an integrated dishwasher, an integrated bin and as many presses as possible beneath the expansive island top.

The kitchen doors are matt j grip handleless painted in Farrow & Balls Wimborne white.  The island is painted in Storm Grey.  The worktop is Silestone Blanco Norte.

The open wall units and open winebox are both done in a woodgrain finish and these tie together beautifully within the design.

This is a kitchen for socialising in – a kitchen to spend time chatting over the island top with friends or family.  We wish all the best to our clients in their new home and hope they have many happy years in their kitchen.
